Design For Humanity is Billabong's charitable division created at an international level that seeks to generate founds from the sale of limited edition products to donate to environmental and humanitarian causes. Design For Humanity allows Billabong to empower, encourage and promote awareness of environmental and humanitarian issues relevant to the youth of today through fundraising and promotions. All activities are centred around a chosen charity and aim not only to benefit that cause, but to celebrate the environment, fashion and art. |

| Billabongs 2nd Annual Design For Humanity Event An unforgettable night of art, fashion and music, which included a Billabong runway show featuring one-of-a-kind celebrity designs, an art show including photography sponsored by Surfing magazine, a live concert by electro-pop superstars MGMT, and sounds by DJ Steve Aoki. Opening the fashion show was Australias singer/songwriter Ashleigh Mannix debuting "Hallelujah" for the first time in the United States. | ![]() |
This one of its kind event drew an attractive mix of action sport industry and L.A. celebrities. Athletes in attendance included snowboardings elite Scotty Lago, Jamie Anderson, Kevin Pierce, Tara Dakides and pro surfers CJ Hobgood, Sanoe Lake, and Greg Long. L.A. celebrants also shot on the red carpet included likes of Jason Biggs, Mischa Barton, John Legend, Juliette Lewis, and Adrian Grenier. |

| Since 5 years and the launch of its immunization program, 23 000 people have been immunized and many pompes à eau have been setted up. During the 2005 Tsunami, SurfAid helped more than 160 000 people, 325 tonnes of food and emergency help were distributed as well as 20 500 impregnated mosquito nets. Billabong is also working with SurfAid International to launch unique school programs that will provide a dynamic learning opportunity for students, educating them about the geography, economy, culture, health and living conditions of the 70,000 people of the Mentawai Island region, off the coast of West Sumatra, Indonesia. |
