| Rapanui began life on the Isle of Wight when two young surfing brothers set about creating a 100% sustainable brand. For 2008, Rapanui provides a range of functional surfwear made from ethical and eco-friendly fabrics. We also use renewable energy to power our manufacture and pay a fair price for our materials in our 'total' approach to sustainability. Essentially we only use Organic, Natural and Ethical fabrics, at no human cost and with the minimum carbon emmisions possible. Take our hoodies for example; We use a factory powered by 32 Vestas Wind Turbines and a £500'000 PV solar array. Triple-certified fair-trade organic cotton is transported to the factory by camel and then the finished garment is stocked in a paper-free, carbon-neutral office. |

Grown in a managed environment, aiming to have no detrimental effect on the local ecosystem. Free from agrochemicals, fertilisers, pesticides, GM crop, formaldehyde and other harmful chemicals. It is a fact that 17 teaspoons of chemicals end up in the soil for each high-street cotton tee. Rapanui uses only natural sustainable fabrics. Softer, more breathable, hypoallergenic, biodegradable and recyclable. Rapanui only manufactures a small, flexible and functional range: We only make clothes you really need. |

After shipping to you, we donate 5% profit to environmental charities and our Green School Talks foundation. Rapanui wants to inspire all to consider sustainable alternatives. The unique power of fashion can be used to create positive change, so Rapanui offers just that; the opportunity to extend green values into the clothes we wear and the products we buy. |
